Re: [opensuse-factory] The update-alternatives confuser
I still don't understand why openSUSE ships a broken, incompatible
Java implementation as the default.

But anyways, the best way to go about it is remove IcedTea, OpenJDK,
etc (any broken Java implementation), then run the package manager
again and mark as taboo the packages from the broken Java
implementation(s) you just removed, accept this and exit the package
manager once again. Now run the package manager once more and install
the Sun Java (works 100%).

It's time consuming and annoying but you should only have to do this
once per system.
