I would like to test Factory asap, to avoid the present untested multimedia status of many apps, but I don't find how to do :-(
send to
and from there I don't really see how.
I suppose I can start from an 11.4 install and change the repositories to factory, but do I have to remove all the 11.4 repos and add what exactly? this one?
Better to start fresh rather than starting with 11.4. http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/boot/ in each arch's loader/ has the installation linux and initrd. I download them to a /boot partition, and start HTTP installation using Grub with a stanza akin to http://fm.no-ip.com/Tmp/SUSE/menu.lst-startFACTORYinstallation.txt and customized according to http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Linuxrc to minimize installation initialization time. If that's too much trouble, burn a *NET*.iso and type all the same things on every new install started from CD. :-p -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
