-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Several people have reported the same problem with downloading updates in 11.4: the download gets stuck on a certain file, with yast or zypper. (I'm reporting here for 11.4 because I need devs to look at this). What they have done: Try zypper, delete repos, add again. Several times. Try wget. Try mozilla. Try different mirror. The result is always that certain files (the same file for each user, but sometimes different files for different users) get stuck, do not download, when they reach some percent. Other files download fine from the same repo servers. It is different private networks (no corporate or campus proxy). Try another machine with windows or ubuntu: it works. Try 11.3 or 11.2, same machine: it works. What? Try 11.4 *failsafe* - it works. What? What? Booting failsafe works? How come? :-O You see how much this is strange? Do you have ideas on how to investigate or solve this? Please tell. Or ask directly the last user having this problem here: View this thread: http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=458014 Or: nntp: forums.opensuse.org newsgroup: opensuse.org.help.applications Subject: Problems updating or dowloading certain softfware openSUSE 11.4 Other threads: 'Unable to DL RPM's from update repositorys' http://tinyurl.com/3nmnrmq 'yast online update vs system tray update' http://tinyurl.com/3qpru9q - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
