I do not understand why this property has been changed...
We switched to KMS. The kernel properties have different names. However it looks like these names are going to converge to a well defined set to make creation of ui config tools easier :) The output of 'xrandr --prop' which you had attached however contains the information you need to put together the command line correctly.
