Anything that is Java has come directly from openSuSE either via zypper
or yast2. I have not ever downloaded Java related directly from Sun.
About the only things I download and install are mp3 sources, kernel, Amarok, FlightGear, Google, Skype, Firefox and Thunderbird related.

Thanks Dominique;

This appears to be a Sun Bug and not openSuSE

Why don't you just use the RPMs provided in the non-free repo of
openSUSE :) We give you the security updates for free whenever they
happen :)
