For users of Broadcom wireless devices, one of the attractions of the 2.6.32
kernel is native support of the BCM4312, which has an LP PHY. Unfortunately,
this feature is not turned on in the kernels found in the repos. In the
wireless
subforum, the following was reported:

===================
'dmesg | grep b43' outputs

b43-pci-bridge 0000:0b:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17
b43-pci-bridge 0000:0b:00.0: setting latency timer to 64
b43-phy0: Broadcom 4312 WLAN found (core revision 15)
b43-phy0 ERROR: FOUND UNSUPPORTED PHY (Analog 6, Type 5, Revision 1)
b43: probe of ssb0:0 failed with error -95

I just noticed the kernel I booted into begins debug-- opensuse 11.2
2.6.32-rc7-21 dont know exactly what the debug means or if it matters or
even if its the correct kernel
===================

To whomever that is responsible for these configurations, please add the
following to the configuration:

CONFIG_B43_PHY_LP=y

This should probably go to opensuse-kernel, but I'm subscribed to both
lists and kernel in the subject caught my eye.

I've committed the configuration change.
