11.2 M6 installed.

I click on reboot or halt in gdm, nothing happens.

After you reboot or shutdown, does GDM come back to the login screen? If
it does, try to hit ctrl+alt+F1 and see if it proceeds with the
shutdown.

I click on one of the reboot or shutdown, does nothing. I have to go to ctrl+alt+F1 and there type halt on the console. I didn't look on the logs, though.

I'm having this issue myself and think it might be due to my encrypted
home directory. Have not had a chance to troubleshoot it further though.

Not my case.
