PackMan does not yet provide packages for openSUSE 11.2, does it? I'd suggest to disable this repo. It will try to link against old libs.
Note: This is a refresh install from last Sunday after a "zypper dup" (or two).

Problem: nothing provides libiso9660.so.5 needed by vlc-noX-1.0.1-2.1.i686 Solution 1: do not ask to install a solvable providing vlc
for VLC the problem is 'almost' solved.. I have 4 more packages in the build queue before I can sync it out. Factory no longer provides libiso9660.so.5. It moved on to libiso9660.so.7. I expect to be able to sync the VLC repo out this evening. This unfortunately does not solve your issue at hand, sorry for this.
