Hello, Finally, after a long break (second son :-) ), I had a little time to install a Milestone release. It is on my new Dell Inspiron mini netbook, so I went for XFCE. Some first impressions: - the touchpad was practically useless during installation, with the pointer jumping all over the screen, worked better on the installed system - connecting an USB mouse did not work during installation (worked fine after installation) - machine froze near the end of the autoconfiguration process with a blank screen, after waiting for a few minutes a turn off / turn on helped (there is no reset button :-) ) - I chose to install XFCE, but instead of the usual xdm, gdm was started and after login a minimalist GNOME started with an ugly message about missing TomBoy - XFCE is a bit broken, for example xfwm4 is not started automagically I wonder, if the last two are the side effects of the turn off / turn on... More testing tomorrow, with hopefully also time for bugzilla entries...
