Czech Packagers Meeting minutes 2009-03-31

prusnak, anicka, mseben, mhrusecky, mvyskocil,

1. Dropped repository

We agreed on Dropped repository. It should contain some sources of packages
dropped from our distribution. This packages will not build against any
repository. To Dropped repository should go someone who would like to restore
old package.

2. Opensuse Buildservice

We all should use Opensuse Buildservice tools. For example submitting
noncritical patches via submit requests to devel project instead of
submitting them directly into factory (either via osc or via yapt).
Maintainer of package may want to decline patch for various reasons. For
example maintainer can be in the middle of version update which includes
patch you want to submit. Also submitting patches directly into factory
may broke devel project and other projects linked against it. And these
projects may contain several nontrivial already prepared patches. Also
using internal tools and not using devel projects makes it more
difficult for community members to help us with development.

4. Packaging guidelines

We need HELP with merging our existing SUSE Package Conventions into Fedora
Packaging Guidelines. See
