Strace update (broken). ....................... After giving password, updater tells that I can't do update, and advice to use YOU. Used YOU and it complains that it can't satisfy dependencies. I selected not to update.
Later, updater has the same update, but this time it updates without asking password.
BTW: What kind of information this test should provide?
How the tools handle broken updates - basically they should do what you describe :)
In the past we had trouble with broken updates as the updater just installed them even with broken dependencies.
