[opensuse-factory] forward and back buttons not working on mouse

On OpenSUSE 11.x (and lower) the forward and back button are not working also the left and right scroll. (KDE3 and 4 tested) On firebox the forward and back buttons are working just fine. Is there a EASY way to add this support? or better build in this support out of the box, on Ubuntu and Vista the buttons are working out of the box.
