Can someone explain to me how the changing background image is supposed to work?
In OpenSUSE 11.1 b5 (gnome), I believe I have the default background (a kind of green 3D-ish look). I've noticed that it appears to change each time I login. I originally was under the assumption that it changed depending on the time of day (Like the Playstation 3 and I'm sure others) but now I'm not so sure.
In the morning it was the normal green brightness and didn't appear to change much through the day. Now at nearly 7pm the display is very bright. Last evening it was dark, almost blue.
Hrm, the timings in the configuration might not be perfect. Although it's 11PM here, and the background is dark. So looks fine at the moment (and it looks fine during the day too, bright green).
What is the expected behavior? On a related topic, can the background be anything? Maybe video or a terminal, or web page?
No. It's only images. See /usr/share/backgrounds/glass/glass.xml Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
