Fred Ah, so that's the answer and not "drag/drop". Thanks Fred. 'Saright! You're supposed to be able to use drag 'n drop, but it doesn't work.
Drag and drop works perfectly fine, just have to be a pretty precise regarding where you drop - note the icon changing from "stop" sign to "+" sign.
Martin, I changed back to the "kickoff" menu (which is what I'd like to do to it) and I worked very precisely to either drag-n-drop (looking very attentively) for a (or any) telltale cursor sign that a drag-n-drop could occur and it never appeared. (this was attempted multiple times with left, middle & right mouse clicks and also attempted in combination with alt, ctrl & shift keys - nothing) Also attempted was rght, and middle mouse clicks on the kickoff menu to try and be able to add to the taskbar - still no luck. I did actually get a workable solution once I found "menu editor" right clicking on the start menu "green lizard head". However, the start menu is very disappointing. Many features like the most frequently used apps and the number of them to show, find, network, and other normal options to put on the start menu are simply not there. -- David C.
