PHP Issues, Where is your bug report ? Im not aware of any mayor problem, I'll be glad to submit a bugreport against SUSE 10.1.
SUSe Linux 10.1 is no longer supported ..why are you asking we fix a obsolete product ? Out of the box
ioncube encoder would segfault Apache. Per Nick at ION Cube:
"The issue that Novell had with the 5.1 RPM's was fixed in 5.2. They also used a more appropriate set of configure options with the 5.2 RPM, taking out options such as multibyte support in the Zend engine that are not necessary for most deployments of PHP
The problem is quite simple; Novell made a version of PHP that changes the PHP internals so as to be non-standard. Zend Optimiser also crashes for the same reason, as do other standard extensions.
Unfortunately the SRPM from Novelll was useless, as rather than containing the exact source code that they used for their non-standard PHP, it appeared to be the standard PHP plus a bunch of patches, with no clue how to apply them. That's unacceptable. ."
Unfortunately IonCube does not seem to have a single basic clue on packaging, and this particular problem is fixed in SLE10 SP2, 10.2, 10.3 , 11.0 etc..
*pecl module "Fileinfo"
"configure: error: wrong magic lib version or lib not found" correct magiclib from RPM is installed.
zypper in php5-fileinfo you have to add the server:php:extensions repository, and that error you are seeing is not a bug, but an user error.. looks like you need to do your homework before filling bugs ;-) -- "A computer is like an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy.
