Hello all, as my ThinkPad X61 runs just splendidly with AIGLX-driven Compiz and renders video just fine, I thought my new main machine should also have an intel-chipset, and if possible an identical to my ThinkPad. So far, so good. But I have made the stupid mistake of confusing the GMA X3100 in my notebook with the GMA 3100 chip that my unloved, new FSC Esprimo PC, now stand here, has got. And this baby neither renders video in an acceptable quality with RC1, nor does it run desktop effects smoothly (though it does support AIGLX). Before I send this box back to the vendor; has anyone any insight on whether the driver for the GMA 3100 chipset will see considerable improvements within the lifespan of openSUSE 11.0? Thanks a lot.
