Yeah. If this had been Windows, re-installation would have been your only choice.
For the x-server probs in 10.3, this might be the only option though.. but i will take a closer look at the install and x-server logs
Because of earlier problems, I always ensure I review the boot/grub information prior to hitting that final "Update it!" button. Twice now I have been very glad I did, as the hd(X,X) had used the wrong numbers (off by 1, of course).
I have copies from working menulists in my /homedir, so to find out what is the problem will not be a big problem, once i can open the files...
Best of luck!
thnx ;-)

P.S. If you have any time, perhaps you can jump into the code and see what the problem is? Most likely (at least from my earlier experiences) somebody unthinkingly used /dev/hdX or sdX partition numbers in the grub hd(X,Y), forgetting the fact that grub starts at 0, not 1.
Sometimes this will not be the only thing, but who knows, maybe this time, it will be ;-) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
