I never tested this. SaX2 still exists.
Also, 7.3 offers output hotplug[2], do the packages in xorg73 on the build service support this and does this result in being able to use the external VGA on my notebook as an independent display like I could in other popular OSs?[3]
Currently only with "intel", "radeonrandr12" and "nv" (G80 only) drivers. See http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/intel.html for more details for using it on intel graphics hardware.
