OpenSuSE 10.3 Alpha 2 CDs from isos I have noticed on about every recent complete new install (not upgrade). Yast fails if a network connection is NOT available. I currently am loading a unit that has NO network connection to a modem or network card/device. If I tell Yast to NOT check the network, it hangs. If I reboot, Yast comes up at a point prior to runlevel load, at the point prior to setting the "root" password and where Zenworks wants to sync. Yast fails at the point just after setting the network to "skip" or when assigned (static IP, resolv.conf, and gateway). It also leaved any tty in "#" without a password. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
