Hello,

These are three machines showing this bug: 2GHz/512MB, 2.2GHz/512MB and

The reports I read on Hungarian lists were about P3's and early P4 machines without much RAM. These were running 9.X and even 10.0 well, but have trouble with 10.1. Personally I only have experience with 1.9Ghz PentiumM with 512MB of RAM (Compaq nx8220) and dual 2.4Ghz P4 Xeons with 2-3GB of RAM (IBM IntelliStations), neither of these showed any significant slow down. On my 1Ghz PPC machine with 256MB of RAM I can feel some slow down, but only beagle has a real impact on performance, which I don't use anyway. Now I just kill it, I did not even take time to delete it :-) I still use plain & old updatedb, which does not have any impact on the same machine. Bye,
