Today, LaCie [1] announced their complete Burning solution with LightScribe
Labeling including Linux support.
LaCie has been support the development of K3b for some time now, mainly by
providing nearly all the drives K3b is tested and developed on. Although they
wanted to support the development of an Open-Source software licensing issues
always stood in the way of that. Now they released the Closed-Source but free
LightScribe Labeling application 4L for Linux and it is about time Linux
users get to use LightScribe (even if it is not yet as part of the K3b
package).
Read the full press release [2] or dive directly into the download section
[3].
Have fun,
Sebastian
