Si utilizas sendmail porque estás montando un servidor de correo, es probable que no te funcione la recepción por no haber configurado un registro MX en el DNS de tu dominio. Si el correo de tu dominio lo gestiona tu ISP, entonces no utilices sendmail para recibir correo, sino fechmail como ya te han comentado por ahí. Si das más pistas te daré una ayuda más concreta.
