How do I kill kde and return the server to just a login so that I can save on resources. I have never done this as I am a child of the gui and it is killing my web server on the net. Paul

I think a big thank-you is due to Ian and all involved in making the Flossie Conference such a success. I brought a friend from school and he really appreciated the fact that there ARE like-minded people out there. 54G PCI Wireless NIC

Could anybody recommend a 54G PCI Wireless Network Card to work on Suse. I've found the Broadcom chipset does not support Linux I've found out that Linksys uses the broadcom chipset. http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Linux.Wireless.drivers…. Regards, Sam

Hip-Hip-Hooray! With 2 weeks to go, 50 delegates are booked for the FLOSSIE conference in London on 18th February, which means the event will at least break even. Many thanks to everyone who signed up already, and those who made the event possible. NOW we need everyone else there: The curious, those who've noticed something going on. Can FLOSS really save money? What are companies like Sun, IBM, Microsoft and SCO banging on about? Does it mean changing computers yet again? Brilliant! I just learned that 41 people have now booked to attend the FLOSSIE conference on Wednesday 18th. Feb at London Institute of Education. We can be confident of gaining at least 9 more to break even financially. Should we aim for a target of 100 ? This isn't only a conference for the converted! OOorg, MySQL and Forms

Does anybody in this Great Britain of ours understand how to use OOorg to enter and edit info. in a MySQL database using OOorg Forms? Can anyone point me to some good limks about Forms and scripting? I've studied John McCreesh and Joe Barr articles, and Googled my heart out, yet nothing is quite doing it for me. Does anybody have a young OOorg database wizard in school, itching to get their hands on a real-life project? Thanks, John Ingleby ************
