No problems here, although note if using the DVD it is double-sided and I think only one side will boot. Also, if you don't catch the installation boot screen at the right time, it will just boot to the hard drive (even if the BIOS has that disabled as it calls it directly). Chris one more day to go... -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Nix To: suse-linux-uk-schools@suse.com Sent: 10/22/03 10:22 AM Subject: [suse-linux-uk-schools] suse 9.0 upgrade We have just got our suse 9.0 upgarde and pro discs. Is there any difference between them? Ive been trying to upgrade my machine, but it wont boot from the CD. It has a Windows NTFS partion and a linux partion. Ive told it to only boot from the CD in bios even disabling booting from HDD. But it just wont do it! I tried using and old suse 8.2 disc, but I get the same result. I tried searching on the internet but as I didnt really know what I was searching for I came up with nothing. If anyone could point me in the direction of some how-to's or tell me where I might be going wrong. It would be very much appreciated.
