Any suggestions on how to install an ISA scsi card without having to

First, make sure the card is supported by Linux. The appropriate
hardware-HOWTO section is at
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO-9.html
You'll probably be able to just load the appropriate kernel module by saying
"modprobe ". If you give the make/model of the SCSI card, I
could find out the module name for you.
Alternatively, recompile the kernel :-) Just make sure you put the correct
SCSI controller into the kernel, otherwise it Won't Work.
Remember, also, when you want to access the drives, they'll be referred to as
/dev/scd0, /dev/scd1, etc.
