Has anyone installed KDE2? Well - obviously, yes - but anyone here wish to comment on any problems?
It still has the fault of copying the Windows "end user configuration" model. e.g. no obvious way to globally set parameters such as web proxies. Let alone something as sophisticated as stopping an end user (or group of end users) altering things. The concept of adminstrator configuration (and restriction) appears either lacking or undocumented. Also kmail still won't read maildir mailboxes, let alone interoperate with sqwebmail. -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763
