Dabei sollte man auch berücksichtigen, dass grub nicht automatisch hd0 = sda usw. annimmt. Die Zuordnung steht in /boot/grub/device.map - ich hatte schon Systeme, in denen da statt "/dev/sda" ein "/dev/disk/by-id/..." drinstand (besonders lustig, wenn man eine defekte Platte tauscht... ;-) In diesem Fall musst Du die device.map natürlich entsprechend anpassen.
