Hi, as you probably expect, we are working on the conference schedule. I was talking to other conferences we are merged with and we are working on it together. Hopefully we will have a first draft by the end of this week. Now how can you help? I have a really easy task for you. We have multiple room that have ugly names from university like 107, 155 or 349. What we would like to do is to rename them during the conference so people can remember them more easily. So try your creativity and send[1] us some ideas! The 14th International Exhibition on Surfactant & Detergent Date: Apr. 10-12, 2013 Venue: Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center, China Review on last exhibition The “2012 International Exhibition of Surfactants and Detergents” was held in Shanghai on April 14 - April 16, 2012, which attracted suppliers and industrial elites around the world to gather in Shanghai to discuss about new development trends and directions of the industry. In the efforts of the organizers, the exhibition made gratifying achievements based on the support of existing customers and positive response of new customers. 163 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions showed their new products, new technologies and new achievements in the three-day exhibition to over 6013 professional visitors from 48 countries and regions. The exhibition gathered lots of brands in the world including SABIC, GOC, AkzoNobel, Rhodia, Milliken, KLK, Lonkey, Zhejiang Zanyu, Kimyagaran, Zhejiang Jinke, Liaoning Oxiran, Woellner France, Jinling Sinopec, Qingshan, Odyssey, etc. The exhibition not only focuses on the investigation of new technologies and environmentally friendly products, but also pays more attention to exchanges with international enterprises in the same industry. Twelfth International Conference of Surfactants and Detergents (ICSD) sponsored by China Association of Surfactant Soap and Detergent Industries and China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry was held on April 15 at SECEC Hotel. “A Virtuous Path for Industry Development under Low-Carbon Economy” was the theme of last conference, having totally received more than 100 domestic and foreign academic exchange papers. After the review of the Academic Committee of Conference, 19 high quality papers were selected for the oral communication and more than 60 articles were selected for wall poster. Totally, more than 300 delegates from 20countries and regions have attended the four-day conference. BIO Sam Aaron is a researcher at the intersection of Computing Science and Music at Cambridge University. " Zen and the art of Live Programming with Clojure Clojure's interactive features provide programmers with a remarkable ability to create software with a unique and highly responsive development process. This can be seen to broadly similar to the differences between the waterfall model and more recent agile approaches yet at an different timescale - that of moments vs minutes, rather than days vs weeks. Programming with an approach which allows one moment to flow frictionlessly to another without having to wait for compile cycles gives the developer a unique workflow which will be examined in detail in this session. We will cover the art of Live Programming with Clojure, including elements such as interactive editors, REPL sessions, realtime visuals and sound, live documentation and on-the-fly-compilation whilst repeatedly demonstrating that these techniques aren't just useful for artistic endeavours but also a powerful and persuasive technique to be applied in industrial contexts.
