ok, removing rm fron the spec file works. I guess I have not
understood how %post works. I wanted to install a script temporarily
and then delete it after it's done. I tried to put the commands
directly into the spec file without using a script but could not get
that to work (some variables did not expand, I guess)

You remove the /etc/ file, which is included
in the rpm filelist. That's not allowed, rpm will complain about
the missing file when the package is uninstalled.

(/etc seems to be the wrong directory for the script, btw)
