Having a usable interface is IMHO more important in the long run.

A consistent user interface is much more important.

It will avoid zillions of problems and bugs in the future
when zillions of average users use it wrong by accident
just because they do not easily understand how to use it.

The current osc commands look very much like a stockpile
of quickly hacked stuff - I assume it actually is
a stockpile of quickly hacked stuff ;-)

Hmm about which commands are you talking or what do want to
change (or are you referring with "osc commands" to the new
"request command proposal")?
