Not sure what you mean with "updates made via the web interface", could
you explain please? Do you mean, with regard to committing / commit
message?

right.

one can obviously edit files (and commit them) via the web interface too.
presumably populating the author for such commits would be easy, but it might be nice if there was a text-box for a commit message too.

just wondered if you'd given any thought to the matter.
