http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1106577 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1106577#c5 --- Comment #5 from Joe Morris <joe_morris@ntm.org> --- Trying to figure out why it worked the first boot after updating the kernel to 4.18.0 and 4.18.5, and checking the Live KDE DVD, I noticed some references to TMPFILES in the Live DVD's Xorg.0.log. I then tried cleaning up my /tmp directory, and deleting the xauth files and sddm files actually allowed me to reboot with the 4.18.5 kernel. I haven't been able to nail it down to which file for sure. Deleting the xauth-:0_0 or something like that at least once allowed 4.18.5 to boot and work. Currently using the 4.17.14 kernel, and there is an /tmp/xauth.XXXXXLAQhN file but none mentioning :0. Since I was finally able to boot, I think perhaps there is something being persistently blocking with the /tmp directory, thus why it is working once after updating. Still trying to nail it down. Kernel 4.17.14 has no problems. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
