The risk you describe exists, but I'm not sure if I like the idea of making the
page (or, to cover the "any page" risk, even the whole wiki) writeable for only
a few people. This somewhat sounds like throwing out the baby with the
bathwater to me ;-) and would block lots of valid contributions.
So _if_ we protect some pages, IMHO we should only protect the repo page.
Since you reported this two years ago (sorry that it went unnoticed so long!) -
do you still think protecting at least the repo pages makes sense?
BTW: I keep an eye on the changes in the german and english wiki since years
(via the RecentChanges RSS feed). I noticed a few cases of not-so-perfect
edits, but luckily never anything malicious. Oh, and some (obvious) spam, but
that's another story ;-)
