--fix-cortex-a53-843419 isn't even documented.
I found the 2015 threads https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2015-05/msg00017.html and https://sourceware.org/ml/binutils-cvs/2015-04/msg00012.html having a bit more documentation. But I'm confused: these are 2015 indicating "Some early revisions of the Cortex-A53 have an erratum (843419)" which would suggest that more recent revisions are not affected, and having fairly recent Raspberry Pi 3 systems, I kind of expected them to have more recent revisions. Next from the assumptions above, I tried finding out what sets these revisions apart, but my Google foo failed me here.
