I've installed Leap 42.3 on a notebook and the wifi turned out not to be
working after the reboot. I've installed root fs on ext4, maybe that makes some

The problem is that b43 module is included in initrd and is loaded before
rootfs is mounted (which is what I see in the dmesg) and hence it fails to load
it's firmware. The problem can be temporarily fixed on a running machine by
removing b43 and related modules from kernel, then modprobing them again, but
that is not reboot persistent.

Adding 'omit_drivers+="b43"' into /etc/dracut.conf and regenerating initrd
fixes the problem, since that forces the module to be loaded after root
filesystem is mounted.

Also I've started to see the same problem on Tumbleweed recently on a second
laptop (root fs with ext4 as well).
