Running without issues for 180h now. Seems to be the "self-compilation
obscures the bug" case.

It's also possible that using the newer kernel means there was a fix meanwhile.

Is there a reference on how to compile the kernel
the SuSE factory way?

Hm can't find a public one. Let's first check if the bug still happens on the
latest official update.
