If we want to goes more upstream, then why we kept our home made .service
and use
rm -f openvpn-client.service and openvpn-server.service in our specfile.

Yeah, we should just use the generated service files from upstream. The problem
is that there's a huge amount of "migration" code in %post in our spec files
(which I'm not sure what we'd want to do with).

Also the sr made, doesn't fix this bug as %_tmpfiles.d macro is not used.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. We don't need /run/openvpn anymore with
Type=notify (and the updated service file). I'm currently running the new
service file on my laptop and it works fine.
