I tested this bug on 42.2 and upcoming 42.3.
I start a vncsession running:
vncserver
vncserver by default starts a plasma desktop.
Now I try a login from the display manager (sddm or kdm it doesn't matter)
The login fails. This is the content of ~/.xsession-errors-:0
