So the developer must have been aware of a requirements of mounting btrfs read-write here, which breaks the KVM scenario. Assigning to SLE maintainer.
The patch was originally taken from Fedora as of fix for brc#888341, and later adapted by Andrei for openSUSE. I just took a look on Fedora and they are still using the patch with rw mount for btrfs, no change since then. I don't see reason the rw mount is needed here and also my testing goes well with ro mount. But let's check with Andrei, as he might have better have idea for this. Andrei, what do you think ?
