It's an issue that pops up once in a while.

The reason why it behaves as it does now (unexpectedly, for some) is that
linuxrc needs to know where the medium is that needs to be checked.

For a net iso that could be anywhere, there doesn't even have to exist one when
you booted via pxe, for example.

So, the current implementation works only if the install medium is on a local
device because linuxrc can relate the device with the repository.

We could change the behavior to work like this:

- if repo is on a local device, check the device (assuming a checksum over the
file system exists)
- else, check local devices for suse install media and if one (or all? -
possibly presenting a list to choose from) are found, check them

Along with this we could also address bug 1000947 (make check work for usb
disks) as there the problem is similar.
