Bug ID: 1018760
Summary: wrong ouput sound level, indicates 100 % but is not
100%
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE Distribution
Version: Leap 42.2
Hardware: x86-64
OS: openSUSE 42.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Sound
Assignee: tiwai@xxxxxxxx

in kmix > output device > internal audio

kmix indicates 100 % for level
but
if we use pulseaudio volume control
then
we see sound level is well at 100 % but we can increase to 153 %

thus we conclude that kde phonon/kmix does not supply 100 % of the sound power.

there is also a side effect:
if we decrease with kmix sound level then again limit is 100 % instead of 153
%. we must use pa volume control to restore to 153 %.
