--- Comment #10 from Peter Sütterlin

OK, I'm running kernel 4.7.3-1-default now. The issue is still the same.
What I have done this morning after booting is grepping the kmalloc-4096 usage
from /proc/slabinfo every 10 seconds.
Right now this is running since an hour, and it shows an absolute linear
increase with a slope of 10 objects/second. That sums up to something like
3.5GB/day, which is about what I was seeing so far, too.
Should I try getting an older kernel (4.5?) somewhere and see if the problem
persists? (I guess the 4.1 from Leap is a bit old for my Skylake 6820HQ (HD 530
Graphics), which is why I chose Tumbleweed on first hand....)
Or try 4.8 from Kernel:HEAD?
