I agree. There's however a tiny detail: it is your patch that causes it,
mine was merely intended to print more debug stuff to help investigate the
problem.

To clear the issue: OpenSuse is now shipping kscreenlocker with the
"setQuitOnLastWindowClosed(false)" patch. I.e. your patch. That same patch
triggers a regression that manifests itself either with a crash (in which case
kscreenlocker gets relaunched and eventually the user can log in) or with some
obscure error that prevents the user from logging in.
