http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=968744 Bug ID: 968744 Summary: Most recent updated version of 13.2 has no sound when used with Realtek ALC1150. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound Assignee: tiwai@suse.com Reporter: bertsaxby@yahoo.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/48.0.2564.116 Safari/537.36 Build Identifier: If you install OS13.2 from DVD, sound on this chipset works. If you allow zypper to apply all latest updates sound will stop working. There seems to be a regression somewhere. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install OpenSUSE 13.2 from DVD. 2. Execute zypper up and reboot until you have 'nothing to do'. 3. Sound is now broken. Actual Results: Sound no longer works. Expected Results: Sound should remain working. I have tested Tumbleweed and sound with the ALC1150 is working in that current version. However, VMware Workstation does NOT function for me with Tumbleweed so I cannot move to the latest 4.X kernel.
