I'm a bit surprised to see you have that much difficulties: My experience is much less troublesome: - add 32bit EFI grub to Leap boot stick - boot from stick, manually load installer via grub commands (similar to what you described) - upon reboot (again from stick), manually load installed environment via grub commands - install grub2-i386-efi-2.02~beta2-55.1.i586.rpm, ignoring dependencies - re-run grub2 install specifying 32bit target ("grub2-install --target=i386-efi --recheck") - done grub2-install will add the 32bit loader to the EFI environment.
