http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=959394 Bug ID: 959394 Summary: knotes is loosing data or notes are inaccessible Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: stakanov@freenet.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Account that originally was created in 13.2 and then migrated when Leap was installed. Knotes works when you start it but always shows empty. You create a note: it shows up and works up to restart. You open kontakt: the vanished notes of former sessions are there, in notes but they will not open. The are signed as hyperlinks as usual in "overview" but the tag for notes itself will also not open. No error message is given. I cannot say if the content is still there, but for sure none of these notes is accessible. Once you restart, knotes appears again empty but the new note created before the logout is now signed in "overview" of Kontakt as before. Another migrated account on this PC has a slightly similar problem. The notes are not signed because the collection is not selected. Once you put the tag, choosing the selection, then it works. Up to reboot. It does not seem a permission problem because I can create the notes during the session, they are shown in the counter in the taskbar, they are readable. But they are not accessible after one reboot. I did put this to critical because at the end of the day, it seems that the data is lost. So if there is anything important it will be gone too. This bug is reproducible 100%. It is constant. I like knotes because they seem very practical to me. It would be nice if functionality is restored. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
