Well, my first guess would have been a defective monitor cable where one color
line (green) did not get transmitted as this would give a purple tint.
However since the report describes scenarios where it is clear that this only
happens with the NVIDIA binary only driver, I'm inclined to believe that this
is a driver issue.
Since the problem went away by reinstalling the driver we can savely close the
ticket I believe.
Antonine, thanks for following up on your results after reinstalling the
driver!
Still, it would be good to know if this is some driver feature trying to signal
something.
Daniel, have you ever heard of such an effect?
