http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953921 Bug ID: 953921 Summary: Firewall preventing connectivity due to Avahi mDNS? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: roger.luedecke@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build Identifier: In 13.2 and LEAP my network connectivity frequently drops out. The wifi is still connected. In DMESG I see a pair of "SFW2-INext-DROP-DEFLT IN=eth1 OUT=" entries which seem to correspond to the drops in connectivity. My supposition is that the SUSE Firewall is conflicting with Avahi/Bonjour somehow and blocking all connections. For the moment the connection seems stable, but I'd otherwise be disabling and re-enabling the wifi to regain connectivity. Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
