On an openSUSE 13.2 system I get:

zgrep CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2 /proc/config.gz # CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2 is not set

While we see with openSUSE 20150702 Tumbleweed

zgrep CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2 /proc/config.gz CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2=y on my Tubmleweed 20150702 it says otherwise:

zgrep CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2 /proc/config.gz # CONFIG_CIFS_SMB2 is not set uname -r 4.0.5-3-desktop

Björn Jacke reported this in the past for openSUSE Factory but I'm unfortunately not able to find the bug report again. I fear he reported it via mail and therefore it unfortunately got lost. There was a discusstion back in 2012: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kernel/2012-11/msg00047.html
