http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=911523 Bug ID: 911523 Summary: YaST2->Security->Boot->Interpretation of Ctrl-Alt-Del is ineffective Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: hb7267@gmx.net QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build Identifier: In runlevel 3 (console) when pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del the system reboots regardless of what I set here (I wanted "halt") Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In YaST2->>Security->Boot set "Interpretation of Ctrl-Alt-Del" to "halt". Save 2. In Runlevel 3 press Ctrl-Alt-Del as regular user or at the login prompt Actual Results: System shuts down and reboots Expected Results: System shuts down and powers off I found a dead symbolic link from /etc/systemd/system/ctrl-alt-del.target to /lib/systemd/system/poweroff.target, which I removed and made a new one: ln -s /usr/lib/systemd/system/poweroff.target /etc/systemd/system/ctrl-alt-del.target Now the system does the shutdown properly. YaST2 should have used the correct link target -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
